Laszlo Otvos

Laszlo Otvos graduated at Eotvos Lorand University, Budapest Hungary in 1979 majoring in Organic Chemistry. After finishing his PhD studies in 1985, he joined the Wistar Institute in Philadelphia, USA as Associate Scientist and worked himself up to Associate Professor, obtaining a Wharton Management degree on the way. In 1995, he was appointed to Temple University in Philadelphia as Research Professor of Biology. Currently he runs OLPE, LLC, a pharmaceutical consulting company and holds adjunct appointments at Semmelweis Medical School in Budapest, at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, USA and Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia. With a current h-index of 70, Laszlo is Associate Editor for Frontiers of Chemical Biology, and is a frequent reviewer of manuscripts, grant proposals and business plans. He is a senior advisor to Allysta Pharmaceuticals in Seattle, USA.
